        Club Waters

This was a working china clay pit until the late sixties operated by Peter Dixon & Son Ltd. When the company ceased mining the pit was left to flood. Since that time there has been a good stock of roach and a few brown trout. The club acquired the fishing rights in the mid eighties when they introduced tench and carp and bream. In more recent years pike have been stocked which have been caught into double figures. There are also some good sized eels in this water.
