Wheal Rashleigh is the largest pool that the Roche Angling Club has the fishing rights on. This pool is about 9.5 acres in area. First acquired in 1968 Wheal Rashleigh held a good stock of perch, roach and a few trout. Shortly after its acquisition golden rudd and few carp were introduced. Later tench and more carp were stocked, in recent years pike have been introduced. This pool now produces carp to over 30lbs, tench to 6 lbs, perch to 4 lbs, pike into double figures and large eels. There are also a few large trout.
The club has recently installed a disabled anglers' platform following a generous grant from the Environment Agency and with the permission of Imerys.
